History

Our Mission

 1. Worship

True and Genuine worship is defined by the priority we place on who God is in our lives and where God is on our list of priorities. True worship is a matter of the heart expressed through a lifestyle of holiness.

We worship God because He is God. God is three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We must understand that worship is not just about us. We live in a culture that is self-focused. Sadly, even our worship can become about how it makes us feel or what we get out of it. We may come to church because the songs and the routine give us warm feelings, or we choose to skip church because we don’t feel like going. But the Bible is clear that worship is not about us. It’s about God. His Word instructs us to worship because He deserves our praise.

2. Fellowship

God designed His Church to be a fellowship—not just a community, but a family of brothers and sisters who share God’s ideals and beliefs (Ephesians 2:19-22). Our Church brothers can help us improve ourselves—for “as iron sharpens iron, a friend sharpens a friend” (Proverbs 27:17, NLT).

3. Discipleship

After His resurrection and before ascending to heaven, Jesus told His disciples, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age" (Matthew 20:18–20).

This is known as the Great Commission and is considered a mandate for all Christians. We make disciples because Jesus commanded it.

4. Ministry

To minister means to attend to the needs of someone. Christian ministry is helping someone in the name of Jesus. Jesus provided the pattern for Christian ministry—He came, not to receive service, but to give it (Matthew 20:28; Mark 10:45; John 13:1-17).

We minister by meeting people's needs with love and humility on Christ's behalf (Matthew 20:26; Mark 10:43; John 2:5,9; Acts 6:3; Romans 1:1; Galatians 1:10; Colossians 4:12). As Christians, we are to minister to others out of their devotion to Christ and their love for others, whether the other people are believers or unbelievers. Ministry to others should be impartial and unconditional, always seeking to help others as Jesus would.

Christian ministry is any activity by an an individual Christian which furthers the work and purpose of Jesus Christ. This includes preaching the gospel; teaching the Bible; praying for people to be healed in the name of Jesus; writing to further understanding of what Jesus taught; caring for the sick, the wounded, the orphans and the poor for the sake of Jesus’ love for them; casting out demon spirits and doing any other thing Jesus told His followers to do in His name.

5. Mission

Christ’s Great Commission is the Callof The Christian and Missionary Alliance—it’s why we exist! We are compelled by Jesus’ command to make disciples of all nations. Reaching the lost is a cause for which we are willing to go to the ends of the earth—this is no small task!

We are a part of the Christian and Missionary Alliance and we need to work together in this movement.  Completing the Great Commission will require the mobilization of every fully devoted disciple of Jesus Christ. Through the empowerment of the Holy Spirit, the Alliance is committed to developing a Christ-centered, Acts 1:8, family.

Funding this work is no small task. It takes approximately $40,000 annually to keep an individual worker on the field. Through the generous and sacrificial giving of people like you and me, workers are sent to fulfill this calling of Jesus in all the earth.
